Trepanning -
Trepanning is a machining/drilling process used to put an ID or hole in a solid bar, producing a heavy wall tubular product. Pieces as short as 6" or as long as 40' can be drilled as specified. Delivery is usually DAYS rather than weeks or months. A common application for trepanned bar is in drill collars for oil & gas drilling and water well drilling. For more, click here.

Spiraling -
Spiraling is a process by which a spiral groove is cut into the outer diameter of a drilled bar. This is a process that is distinctive of drill collars. By reducing the amount of surface area at the outer diameter, spiraling counteracts certain problems that can occur down-hole. (i.e. differential sticking)

Saw Cutting - We can provide material cut to length on bars with ODs up to 20". Straightening -
